DairyWater project represented at Environ 2015

The 25th Irish Environmental Researchers Colloquium (Environ 2015) took place from April 8th to 10th 2015 at the Institute of Technology, Sligo. The main theme of the colloquium was sustainibility and addressed the need to review environmental change since the very first Environ was held in IT Sligo in 1991. The DairyWater project was well represented at the event with four presentations:

  • DairyWater: Sustainability and resource efficiency for the Irish dairy processing industry
  • Environmental lifecycle assessment of dairy products manufactured in the Republic of Ireland
  • Tertiary treatment technologies for water reuse and rainwater harvesting in the Irish dairy industry
  • Treatment of dairy processing effluent using IASBR Technology
