The 5th Annual  Ireland Chinese Association of Environment, Resources & Energy (ICAERE) Conference took place on the 13th May 2015 in the Engineering Building at National University of Ireland, Galway. DairyWater’s PI, Prof. Xinmin Zhan, who is also Chairman of ICAERE, featured as one of the keynote speakers, where he presented an overview his recent research undertakings. Furthermore, DairyWater researchers, Fei Gao and Dr. William Finnegan, delivered presentations related to their research on the project, entitled ‘Potential of using nano-materials to removal of heavy metals from oil industry wastewater’ and ‘Global warming potential associated with the Irish dairy processing industry using LCA’. The event was well organised and proved to be an interesting and insightful day.
