Prof. Xinmin Zhan, who is the DairyWater project coordinator, received a certificate for an article, which he was an author of, becoming the most cited article for 2011 and 2012 in the Biochemical Engineering Journal. The paper was entitled: Long-term partial nitrification in an intermittently aerated sequencing batch reactor (SBR) treating ammonium-rich wastewater under controlled oxygen-limited conditions. The intermittently aerated sequencing batch reactor, which is refereed to in this article, will be used in the DairyWater project as a method of treating dairy wastewater.
